Le Pacte Mondial des Nations Unies (Global Compact en anglais) est aujourd’hui la principale initiative mondiale d’entreprises citoyennes.
Par cette adhésion, Egis s’engage à conformer ses opérations et sa stratégie de développement aux dix principes relatifs aux droits de l’homme, aux conditions de travail, à l’environnement et à la lutte contre la corruption.

La France a créé un Comité de pilotage appelé Comité Rio+20 ayant pour but de préparer la Conférence des Nations Unies sur le développement durable de juin 2012. L’objectif du Comité Rio+20 est de réunir des représentants des acteurs français (publics, privés, société civile, citoyens...) afin de contribuer aux deux axes portés par la France : l’économie verte dans le cadre du développement durable et de l’éradication de la pauvreté » et « le cadre institutionnel du développement durable ».

Egis a finalisé le 15 juin 2011 le rachat de Saci, société d’ingénierie spécialisée dans l’assistance et le conseil pour la conception d’équipements mécaniques liés au génie civil et aux structures, en particulier dans le domaine nucléaire.
