On January 3, Egis signed a contract to initiate work within the emergency demolition and debris management project in Ukraine. Serving as the supervision engineer, the Egis team will provide technical expertise, overseeing and monitoring emergencies in Kyiv and Chernihiv oblasts as part of the United Nations Development Programme projects in Ukraine, funded by the Government of Japan and the European Union.
‘This undertaking represents not only a testament to Egis's commitment to rebuilding Ukraine but also our dedication to making a positive impact in areas that require urgent attention and support. We look forward to navigating this journey, fostering recovery and rebuilding in the face of adversity!’ – Ivan Konoplitskyi, Deputy Director, Ukraine, Caucasus and Central Asia, Head of the Operations.
Earlier in 2023, Egis successfully completed tasks within the UNDP project to facilitate the restoration and reconstruction of infrastructure to support the sustainable recovery of war-affected communities.
